By avoiderdragon:When XCOM: Enemy Unknown first came out, it became a big hit from out of the blue as no one expected it to play so well and be so affective to the players emotions. It wasnt just a good turn-based tactics game that did everything just right, but it also made you feel for the soldiers, especially if you decided to customize them then leveled them up from mission to mission. If you lose one, you can feel it in your soul since that soldier is gone forever, which is similar to other games like the Fire Emblem series. It has since been released on consoles and even mobile platforms, and it seems like Firaxis is not done just yet.

Fire Emblem: Awakening builds on a long-running foundation of successful strategy games. The easy to learn difficult to master system is assisted here by some fantastic new features that should become a mainstay of Fire Emblem games to come. But how does this measure up to the series so far? Daniel Bowes catches up with this 3DS game released earlier this year.

Over the years, developers have released numerous crossovers to varying degrees of success Marvel vs Capcom, Street Fighter vs. Tekken, and Capcom vs. SNK 2 to name a few. The announcement of Shin Megami Tensei x Fire Emblem got me thinking: What other potential crossovers should we be asking for?" More importantly, which titles have a chance of becoming a reality?

| Marth Confirmed For Super Smash Bros. Wii U And 3DS
Added: 07.11.2013 15:43 | 18 views | 0 comments
Nintendo has revealed that Marth from the Fire Emblem series will be a playable character in both Super Smash Bros. Wii U and its 3DS-bound counterpart.
Seeing as how this sword-swinging hero has been included in the series' roster ever since the days of Super Smash Bros. Melee, this should hardly come as a surprise to fans of the series. That said, it's certainly great news, despite it not being particularly earth-shattering.
